Brown Rock Salt is sourced from both within the UK, and from various mines across the world. Brown Rock contains large granules and is the most commonly used de-icing product in the UK. The products natural brown colour becomes useful when spreading because it is visible on snow. Brown rock salt can be spread manually or by using a mechanical spreader on paths, roads, carparks and playgrounds etc. Our rock salt meets and exceeds BS 3247 | 1991 and is exactly the same product used by Councils and the Highways Agency.
