White Salt contains large granules and is generally used where hygiene is important as it is purer compared to other de-icing products. White de-icing salt leaves very little residue and is generally used by schools, retailers and hospitals. The material can be spread manually or by using a mechanical spreader on paths, roads, car parks and playgrounds etc.
